Christmas Day

So we all had a great Christmas here. We were spoiled by both families and Sammy and Maddie had a blast. They loved their toys and have already greatly been using them and playing with them! Probably one of my favorite parts of this holiday was having the three grandkids on the Jenne side act out the nativity scene. Jake's mom had the most adorable little angel costume for Maddie and so I just couldn't get enough pictures of her. It was so cute! Sammy loved being Mary. Jake put her costume together in a few minutes and she thought it was so cool to be Jesus mom. Now everday she keeps asking if she can be Mary again. Carter was Joseph. At first he didn't want to dress up, but seeing Sammy and Maddie kind of changed his mind. The kids were so cute! I loved it.

She is probably thinking, do I really have to wear this mom?

Santa Claus

So I have been wanting to take Sammy to see Santa all Dec. long. She has constantly been scared and saying that she wouldn't sit on his lap. Well tonight my friend Diana and I took our kids and were pleasantly surprised! Both of our older girls sat right next to him and even told him what they wanted for Christmas. I only got one shot at a picture and yep, Maddie is screaming her guts out! P.S. Don't you love this Santa Claus? Totally the real thing at the Provo Towne Center Mall

Mickey Mouse & Dress Ups

Sammy's friends came over today and play involved mickey mouse clubhouse on the computer and dress up. They also loved playing the playroom and Maddie had fun too!

Free Batteries

I just had to post this link for free batteries! Go here. Then enter the code 74016761 but don't copy and paste it, put it in manually. You can really print off as many as you want $1/1 and get as many free batteries as you want. At Target (which is where I have gone) the batteries are 1.00 and so you just have to pay sales tax on them. At Walmart they are .97 and sometimes give you overage and sometimes not. I went twice getting 10 free packs each time. I wanted to make sure it worked and it did just fine!
UPDATE: Sorry I wrote down the code wrong! It should work just fine now!

Here it is

So this little baby took my sister and I all year to finished but it got done before Dec. 1st and that's all that matters. Sammy loves it and can barely wait to do one a day.

Don't you just love this face?

Maddie May is such a silly, happy girl.
I just wish she would stop waking up at 6 AM!

The weather outside is frightful?

First taste of snow!

First snowball!

We were going to make snowmen but the snow was just powder today!

She says she loves the cold!

Oh and our awesome snow angels!

It definitely feels like winter wonderland outside today. I know most people don't like the snow, but I do! It feels more like Christmas to me. Usually by Feb or Mar, I am ready for the snow to leave but for now I am enjoying it. And today so did Sammy!

Hanging out in jammies today

yes that is exactly what we are doing. I scrapped a little and the girls played on their own for a bit. It's been a good day so far. Sometimes its nice when you have nowhere to go and nothing to do.

Happy Birthday sweet girl!

Today my little baby is one years old! I can't believe how fast the year has gone. It has been so fun watching her grow. Maddie has been such a good baby and I hope she continues happy to the toddler stage!

She loves playing with toys, eating, sleeping (she still takes two 2 hour naps each day), baths, balls, being outside, eating bark at the park, her cousins, music.

She dislikes headbands, laying down to get her diaper changed and dressed, her ears cleaned, and loud noises.

We love you sweet Maddie May!

Sickies here.....

but you wouldn't know from this pic!

Maddie walking everywhere these days which I love!

I love these girls!

My favorite pic!

Well first Miss Maddie was sick and then me and then Sammy (hopefully Jake will stay clear)! So we are still sick and staying inside away from humankind. Makes for a long not fun week. We have tried to make the most of it. This is my favorite thing of my girls doing-looking outside the window. oh and yes, it has been so nice outside this week too of course which makes it even worse to be stuck inside.

And the worst part too is that I have a new little nephew who I can't see. My sister Missy had her baby Riley Ben Hendricks 7.5 lbs and 20.5 inches long on Nov. 2nd, 2009. And he is so adorable. I can't wait to hold him!

And now it's over

Pumpkin Carving
Friday the 30th

Sammy couldn't wait the day of the pumpkin carving. She was so excited. She also loved going to the pumpkin patch and picking out her very own little pumpkin. She did very well with her Daddy's help!

She even picked out the face!

The Jenne's came over to join in on the pumpkin carving festivities (tradition really).

Doesn't Sam look so interested (and old)?

The grand display
from left to right Bat (michelle), silly face (sammy), happy face (christine), haunted house (Jenn), and skeleton (Jake)

moving on to
Trick or Treating
Halloween night

Sammy got to go trick her treating with her little buddies Ashlyn (cute monkey) and Azelynn (Jessie)

Maddie and her little buddies
so cute they are all chickens (Ryder and Carter)
Sammy wanted to be known as the nice witch (which she is most of the time)!

Me with the happy chicken even though she was sick and was only out for a few minutes to make her chicken debut!

Cute little sisters together

All in all , it has been a fun last week. How quick October came and went! The funny thing about trick or treating was that even though there was about 6 of them ages 1-5, they would all get on the doorstep and none of them would say a word! Probably the quietest group of trick or treaters ever! By the end of the night, they got the hang of it though and Sammy came back with quite a lot of loot which she was excited about! She also loved passing out the candy when we came home. She just sat by the door holding the bucket of candy and said she was waiting for the trick or treaters. I thought Halloween would be kind of lame since I am old, but it's pretty fun and exciting just watching your kids have such a fun time!

It's that time again

for a bath!

Maddie a little unsure here of what Sammy is going to do!
Sammy loving being the boss!
Maddie loving the starfish!

I must say that I love bath time and having both girls in the tub. This morning before church we did bubbles, and Sammy was rubbing bubbles all over Maddie saying "I am bubbling you Mad. DO you like that?" to which Maddie replied "Uh......" which really she did. So I am not sure she really enjoyed that part but she does love the attention from her big sis. Having two little girls is fun minus the drama!

Family Pics

My friend Casey Jensen took our pictures last week and I love them. We haven't had an updated family picture since Sammy was ten months old! I wanted some while Maddie was still little too.
