Life in general

I was trying to post sooner, but a nasty cold hit the Jenne family earlier this week. Poor girls and myself included so we are starting to finally recover from that. We went down to visit my awesome little sis in Cedar City, but the colds hit that same day and so we weren't too much fun to be around, although we had fun seeing her anyways! Then I had to speak in church today so I spent a lot of the weekend writing a talk, so exciting. So now things are finally settling down and I am looking forward to a new week!

Here are some pics I took of Maddie at her 6 mo. mark which was almost 2 weeks ago. Her stats at her 6 mo. appt were, 16.5 lb and height 27 inches. She is currently in the 60% for her weight, and 85% for her height and so it seems she is getting taller. She just might not be the short, chubby one like I thought. She also got another tooth on the bottom this month as well, better for eating right?

Loves: to put everything in her mouth, any toy she can find, wrappers or anything that makes noise, food, food, and more food, cups, bathtime, cuddling on her dad's shoulder, watching and playing with Sammy, taking toys away from Sammy, smiling, sticking out her tongue like a puppy, Ritz crackers, grabbing and eating her toes

Dislikes: getting her nose wiped (just found that out this week!), getting her nose cleaned with quitip, getting her nails clipped, sitting in the back of the bike trailer, being put in her carseat, dirty diapers

Not the most flattering picture, but you can see her bottom teeth!

Two parties

The birthday party continuing, sorry to be so slow but last week flew by! Anyhow, Sammy was lucky because she had two family parties which she loved! From her awesome mommy and daddy, she received a really cool dollhouse. She then got some accessories from family members. She also received some really cute clothes and games/ puzzles. At each party, we played a few games, opened presents, and ate cake and icecream which was enjoyed by all. Now I have a 3 year old!
Doesn't she look 3? So grown up!

Maddie enjoying the party!

Isn't this castle cake awesome made by chef Jenn? I did have some catastrophe's with it and luckily Jake's mom came to the rescue and helped me fix it!

A picture walk game!
Pin the tail on the donkey!
Somehow Sammy got the tail right on! I can't imagine she was peeking!

Taylor enjoying himself!

Party No. 2 with the Jenne's. Jake made a treasure hunt for Sammy and in the end she found her presents as her treasure!
Cute and adorable dress Shireece made! I love it!

Sammy loving her cake and eating it from the bowl. Nice cake goatie!

Build a Kitty?

Sammy's birthday started when last week, on Tuesday, Jake and I took her to Build A Bear. Every time we walk by that store in the mall, she always wants to go. I always have to say no, maybe next time and so this time we actually got to go. We (mostly Jake and I were looking at all the cute animals) and immediately Sammy picks this rainbow bear that was kind of ugly. We are trying to get her to pick something else, when she sees Hello Kitty and immediately drops the rainbow bear that she is holding. So she builds a Kitty and has a lot of fun doing so!

OCD Sammy

So after our walk this morning, we came home and I went to put Maddie down for her nap. When I came downstairs this is what I found. Just recently, Sammy has discovered how to open the fridge. She is pretty good and usually only gets in when she wants a drink. Well this sure kept Sammy quiet and busy for a few minutes! I think she got out every condiment she could find.

Mother's Day

Well it's been a great Mother's Day and I enjoyed the special treatment as a mother and wife! The girls were happy today and we had a fun day together. I am thankful for my mom and Jake's mom and my grandmas and sisters and sister in laws, and pretty much every female in my life!
