After Christmas, we decided that we are going to make part of the crawl space into a playroom for the kids. Sammy has loved going down there even with it unfinished and we think this will be a great place for them to play and store all their toys. Jake has been working really hard the last couple of weeks and I have been really impressed with how well he has done and with minor injuries. Who knew he was a handy man? I am sure glad that I have my own, since my mom has to hire hers out! If you can't really tell from the pic, there are two small rooms and Jake came up with the idea of putting 3 big square windows between the two so the kids can crawl through them and throw things back and forth. Very clever I thought! So now I am trying to get some good ideas for how to paint and decorate it. Pottery Barn has some great ideas and very elaborate playrooms-ours won't be that cool but hopefully close! Hopefully, we can get it done in the next couple of weeks! Sammy is super excited and always asks Jake "Daddy, are you going to work on my playroom now?"

That is so awesome! And even awesomer that you have a handyman to do it! Go Jake!
wow! that looks so much bigger than it really is! what an awesome project jake! i have an idea...paint it like a garden. white picket fence...green grass..flowers...and you could even make it 3D by actually putting fence on the wall and wooden cut out flowers. you could even have a barn or something.
Looking awesome. Taylor can't wait for his play day with Sammy. He was very upset he couldn't stay and play the other day!
The playroom is really cute. Sammy will have tons of fun!
